Haukeland Hospital - The first underground light rail stop
In November 2022, the Bergen city railway was expanded by a 9 km long light rail line. The line starts in the center of Bergen and travels to the southwestern neighborhood of Fyllingsdalen.
In an underground station, lighting is an important factor for a good passenger experience. As much daylight as possible and LED lights provide a good sense of space, even underground, and contribute to a pleasant user experience and safety.
The new rail station was equipped with modern and efficient lighting solutions. The VENUS SV IP67 was installed in the elevator and provides enough light and good visibility. The XOOLUM™ IP67 was installed as indirect light on the tracks to offer passengers safety and orientation. The XOOLINE™ IP40/IP67 was also installed as indirect light above the stairs and in the passage tunnel to create a pleasant and safe atmosphere for passengers.
