The synergy between the atmosphere and functional light

A conversion on a large scale of the Amstelveen train line was necessary to make it future-proof. The many adjustments have made the line safer, faster and more comfortable. Q-CAT has equipped the Zonnestein, Sportlaan and Kronenburg stops with suitable lighting.

What is most characteristic about these stops is that they are situated inground. The separation from other traffic creates an increased sense of safety. This comfortable feeling is further enhanced by the warm light in combination with the walls in a copper look.

A pleasant warm appearance alleviates the waiting

For this project, the KAPLYPSO IP67 was installed with a 60° linear lens optic. The fixture is very minimalistic being (H x W) 25.5 mm x 20.5 mm, but with sufficient light output to sufficiently illuminate the ground surface. A warm color temperature of 2700 K was chosen to emphasize the atmospheric, warm design of the copper. The result is an almost homely atmosphere that makes traveling a cozy experience.

High-end LED technology matches the ambitions of the Amstelveen line

The safe 24 V DC-powered KALYPSO IP67 fixture can be easily connected, which makes it possible to realize long continuous light lines. In addition to this application, in this project, the fixture has also been used in shorter segments at, among other things, lifts, stairs and transitions. The LED technology incorporated in the fixture is economical and has very low degeneration due to efficient cooling and smart power regulation.

With the commissioning of future-proof stops and modern 15G trams, the Amstelveen line (line 25) is the perfect solution for getting you from A to B quickly and comfortably in a busy urban area.
