Lighting design for flexible, hybrid and inspiring New Work working environments.
The state-of-the-art office complex of the medical technology company Olympus in the heart of Hamburg offers an inspiring working environment for more than 1,200 employees on almost 35,000 square metres. After a five-year planning and construction phase, Olympus moved into its new campus in July 2021. The state-of-the-art and sustainably constructed office building in the Hanseatic city is designed for activity-based working and promotes flexible and hybrid collaboration. The Olympus Campus is also home to the new Olympus Medical Training Centre. Employees and customers can experience medical technology in theory and practice in a state-of-the-art medical training environment to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
Such a future-oriented working environment places high demands on the Kober lighting designers with their lighting concept, as "classic office workplace lighting" is out of the question for such a creative, flexible and communicative working environment. The Olympus Campus is a meeting place for employees and customers and reflects the brand and the values of the company in equal measure. Employees can find the place or space in the new office building that suits their particular job: Coffee Corners, Creative Rooms, Phone Boxes, Think Tanks or Project Rooms are just some of the new functional areas for which special lighting solutions were required. In addition, of course, there is also a company restaurant, an internal fitness studio or a multifunctional skylounge with conference rooms on the 10th floor.
Kober Lichtplaner also designed the lighting for the more architectural areas such as the foyer, auditorium and conference areas.

Foyer, lounge area 10th floor: Vertical illumination of the wall joints and indirect illumination under the podium steps with XOOLINE™ HD10
Auditorium: Vertical illumination of the wall joints and backlighting of the partially perforated wall panels at the side of the stage with XOOLINE™ HD10
Boardroom 10th floor: indirect ceiling lighting with VENUS IP67
Restaurant: cove lighting with the XOOLINE™
