Radisson Blu Sheremetyevo at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow opened 2014. Radisson Blu is the best visible building from the terminal as well as during take-off and landing. The concept of the façade lighting was therefore reduced to illuminating only the main entrance façade, in order to provide guidance and make the entrance more visible. The entrance direction and building architecture were subtly enhanced by LED lines, running from below the canopy onto the façade.
The blue lines match the Radisson Blu corporate identity and signage and impressively underline the character of the building. They are planned in such way that they cause no disturbance to the hotel guests, meaning no light is emitted into the guestrooms or lounge areas. This is particularly due to the characteristics of the VENUS TV: with a small cross section of only 16 x 15 mm (H x W), it fits elegantly into the facade and emits, through the opal casting ,a pleasant, uniform light without polluting the night sky with light.
