The Chambal River Front in Kota, Rajasthan, India, is the first heritage-listed riverfront in the world. It is a three-kilometer stretch of riverfront that is open to the public and showcases the rich culture and heritage of the country. Around twenty-two unique ghats (steps leading to the water body) have been built on both sides of the river front, featuring sculptures, murals and other stunning artworks that tell the story of Rajasthan's history and traditions.
The architectural highlights of the individual ghats, such as the stone handrails, the domes and the gazebos (viewing towers) are effectively highlighted with the LIGHT LINE 20 Flex Top bend/Side bend IP67. The unique structure of the decorative stone wall in front of the staircase is also highlighted by our luminaires with grazing light and, together with the many other eye-catching features, creates a visual spectacle at night.
The Chambal River Front will no doubt become one of the main tourist attractions in the area in the future and is already a popular place for locals to relax and soak up the magical atmosphere.
